Rowan Working Horses is run by Kate Mobbs-Morgan. She is based on the outskirts of Monmouth from where she is well placed to consider contracts in Wales, the Midlands and the South and South West of the country. Kate works with her Ardenne horses, Kipp and the up and coming young Sol.

Rowan Working Horses - timber extractionHaving started originally working with heavy horses on a voluntary basis she was then fortunate enough to gain the post of Horseman on an estate in Hampshire. Here she worked and gained valuable experience with 4 Shire horses, using them in a traditional role on the land. During that time she also subcontracted for other horse loggers working on contracts for the likes of the National Trust, Natural England, RSPB and private woodland owners.

Since Kate went self-employed with her own horses she has worked for private woodland owners, the Woodland Trust, local authorities, the National Trust and other similar charities.

Kate is fully insured, an approved contractor on the British Horse Loggers Professional Register and being NPTC certified can also include the option of a felling service as part of the contract.
